a mom of two grown kids, who are the reason for waking up every day. i was a self-employed computer technician, but my illness got the better of me, and i had to go out of work onto disability. i wasn't ever rich, but was able to pay the bills and keep a roof over our heads.
now, i try to make ends meet, but it's really hard. $1000 per month cannot be stretched too thin. once rent is paid, then it's kind of like an 'eeny-meeny-miny-moe' ...who's going to get paid first? i try so hard to keep my bills paid on time, but sometimes i just can't.
recently, i found out that my home, where i've been living for the past sixteen years, is being sold, and i am going to have to move. trying to find an apartment has been so depressing. i thought it would be easy, but it's not like it used to be. now, besides rent, you have all these fees that you have to pay too, plus utilities, plus if you have any pets you have to pay more. so, when i found a $500 apartment and was at first excited about it, it didn't last long before i added in all the utilities and fees, and that $500 became $750!! Yikes .. that left me only $250 to pay my other bills for the month and to buy food for myself and my two cats. imagine that!?! so, i am in limbo .. and trying to figure out what i am going to do. will get back to you on that one!!
